Responsibilities:

Train sub-contractors employee to carry out installations in accordance with company’s instructions.
Demonstrate the installation of supplied cables and components.
Inspect and test heat tracing circuits to ensure that installation meets with company’s standards and the customer specifications.
Measure installed quantities of cables and components.
Respond to sub-contractor queries on drawing and schedules to ensure that solutions are found with the minimum delay.
Provide interface for sub-contractor with piping, painting and insulation representatives.
Provide feed back on actual progress of project work to the Project Engineer/Manager.
Work safely at all times and monitor the safety performance of the sub contractor to establish compliance with site and national safety rules.
Provide emergency on site first aid cover as required on sites where first aid cover is not provided by the client.
Complete daily progress reports and test certificates as required.
Liaise with customer’s representatives.

Requirements:
Qualified to a minimum of third group for electrosecurity for Electrical Installation.
Time served Electrician with considerable site experience in installation activities including the supervision of employees and sub-contractors.
Comfortable in dealing with client representatives at all levels.
Knowledge of all health and safety legislation and obligations associated with ‘on site’ activities.
Approved or Trained First Aid qualification
Intermediate English level
Previous experience of electrical heat tracing systems would be beneficial
Conversant with producing and compiling documentation i.e. daily reports, test certifications etc.
Computer literate.
Rotation 28/28, business trips over 6 weeks.
